Hello Beautiful Humans!
Covid-19 has been a wild ride, and for many folks it essentially forced a Self-Reclamation journey because what was, is no longer. In today’s conversation Ayana Major Bey shares what that experience has looked like for her when performing came to a screeching halt in March 2020. She gives us a look into her life path, how 2020 has been a year of pivoting in the most beautiful way, and she shares how she had to reclaim self-compassion, slowness, and story telling in a world where performing is on pause.
Ready to dive in? It is SO worth it and I deeply appreciate the grounded energy Ayana gives in this energy. So take a deep breath, grab a mug of tea, and bask in these reminders that you can pivot, rise, and reclaim all from an energy of play and earthy goodness.
About Ayana
Ayana is an actress, singer, voiceover artist and podcaster (so tune in to hear her glorious voice!) Being on stage has always been her safe place, as she holds a Master’s in Acting from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and has been performing professionally for 12 years. Losing that peace of performance in 2020 made her pivot, including her shift to hosting “The Artist Pivot” podcast. On a personal and professional mission to educate, empower and celebrate artists, Ayana hopes that this time allows artists to reevaluate their approach to their lives and careers and can make a reprise valuing themselves even more.
